The Future of Langley

Overview
Addition sits between two of Langley's most active neighbourhoods – Willoughby and Willowbrook – with Highway 1, Carvolth Exchange and the future Willowbrook SkyTrain Station shaping a fast-growing corner of Metro Vancouver. Convenience today, with connectivity getting stronger every year.
Langley's growth story
Langley is one of the fastest-growing communities in the Lower Mainland. Sustained investment in schools, parks, retail and transit – paired with new SkyTrain infrastructure – is reshaping how easily families connect to the rest of the region.
Willoughby and Willowbrook convenience
Willoughby Town Centre and Willowbrook Shopping Centre cover most weekly errands within minutes. Grocery, drug stores, restaurants, services and family destinations are all close by.
Future Willowbrook SkyTrain Station
The planned Willowbrook SkyTrain Station is part of the Surrey-Langley SkyTrain extension. Station construction is underway. Once open, it will provide a direct rapid-transit link to Surrey, Vancouver and beyond.

Carvolth Exchange is Langley's existing rapid-bus and park-and-ride connection to Metro Vancouver, available today – useful while SkyTrain finishes construction.
Highway 1 and Fraser Highway access
Highway 1 via 200 Street and Fraser Highway both provide quick routes east into the Fraser Valley and west into Metro Vancouver.

200 Street Bus Rapid Transit + Transit Corridor Plan
TransLink's proposed Bus Rapid Transit line along 200 Street is the catalyst behind the Township of Langley's new Willoughby Transit Corridor Plan (WTCP). The plan consolidates the Carvolth, Latimer, Jericho, Routley and Southwest Gordon Estate neighbourhood plans into one transit-oriented framework, with five envisioned BRT station hubs supporting mixed-use, mid-rise and higher-density development along the corridor.
New Willoughby Community Centre
The Township of Langley is planning a new Willoughby Community Centre. As currently scoped in public engagement materials, the facility is planned to include a 37.5 m lap pool, leisure and hot pools, fitness facility, gymnasium, library and multipurpose rooms, plus major upgrades to Yorkson Community Parks North and South.
2025 Official Community Plan + 2026 Willoughby plan update
Council adopted the 2025 Official Community Plan Update (Bylaw No. 6200) on December 1, 2025, with strengthened housing, heritage and climate-action policies. Bylaws for the new Willoughby Community Plan, Willoughby Transit Corridor Plan and Gordon Neighbourhood Plan received first and second reading on May 25, 2026 and are progressing through the public hearing process.
Why future connectivity matters to homeowners
Homes near improving transit and infrastructure tend to hold value well over time. Buying ahead of the SkyTrain opening means owning in a neighbourhood that's still growing into its long-term form.
